Reviews and Ratings
My stay at Hill Lily Courtyard was a mixed bag. The location is fantastic, central to many attractions like Tiananmen Square, but the room I ended up with was quite cramped and in need of maintenance. While the staff were friendly, only one person spoke English well, which made communication challenging at times. Overall, while there are some charming aspects like the hotel's character, I wouldn't recommend it without considering all the issues.
I appreciated the central location of Hill Lily Courtyard, which made it easy to explore nearby attractions like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. However, the room I stayed in was quite small and in need of maintenance, with peeling wallpaper and minimal housekeeping. The breakfast options were limited, but I enjoyed the authentic hutong environment, though it did make the hotel challenging to find.
Staying at Hill Lily Courtyard offered a glimpse into authentic Beijing life, with great proximity to attractions like Tiananmen Square. The room was charming yet had some quirks, including cleanliness issues and an uncomfortable loft layout. While it was a unique experience, the smoking atmosphere and limited breakfast options detracted from my stay.
Staying at Hill Lily Courtyard was an adventure! The hotel is located in a charming hutong area, allowing me to experience genuine local life. The room was cozy and nicely decorated, though on the smaller side. The staff was friendly, though only one of them was fluent in English, which made communication a bit tricky at times.
I had a mixed experience at Hill Lily Courtyard. While the cozy, bohemian atmosphere and the prime location made it easy to explore Beijing's historical sites, I faced several issues with the room and service that dampened my stay.
